Choral Auditions 2024-25

Auditions for the St. Paul’s Adult Choir

The Adult Choir is the backbone of St. Paul’s strong tradition of excellence in liturgical music.  The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings and sings each week September-June at the 11:00 a.m. service of Holy Eucharist or at 5:00 p.m. Choral Evensong. Learn more and listen to the choir.

We welcome interest and applications to audition from:

Experienced Volunteer Singers

  • Persons of all ages who love to sing, and are able to make the regular
commitment of time throughout the season. Basic musical skills and some sight-reading ability are expected.
  • May audition and join at any time of year.

Choral Scholars

  • College students and high school juniors and seniors with musical skills and
strong choir experience. Choral Scholars sing on the same schedule as the
professional singers. A stipend per attendance is offered. Learn more about Choral Scholars.
  • Typically join in September for the full season, but may audition at other times if there is a vacancy.

Professional Soloists/Section Leaders

  • Singers with professional training and choral leadership experience. Section
leaders sing with the full choir, in a small Schola, and sometimes as soloists. A
per call fee is payable for each rehearsal and service attended.
  • Typically join in September for the full season, but may audition at other times if there is a vacancy.

Applications to audition are welcome! Vacancies do not exist in all voice parts, please inquire. Auditions will be individually scheduled and conducted at St. Paul’s. Please send an email to the Director of Music, Dr. Andrew Kotylo, akotylo@stpaulschestnuthill.org. Include your phone number, voice part, availability for audition, and a brief paragraph describing your singing and choral background.
