The St. Luke’s Gun Buyback Program – Success!

The St. Luke’s gun buyback program held on Saturday, July 29 was a big success!

115 guns were turned into the police; each traded for a $200 Visa gift card.  St. Paul’s, St. Martin-in-the Fields, and other donors were part of making this buyback possible.

A note from Ms. Phoebe Griswold (wife of The Most Rev. Frank T. Griswold, 25th Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church) states:

St Luke’s, with significant help from St Paul’s took 115 guns off the street yesterday.
A huge success and we thank you!!
More news when we have it!
Thank you!
Phoebe”

St. Paul’s would like to thank our volunteers Louise Thompson, Sarah Latini, Jennifer Reitmeyer (and her children) for stuffing goodie bags. Sue Proud and Elizabeth Nathans provided cookies and lemonade on Saturday.
