Bike & Hike Event

Bike & Hike Event for Climate Action Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light (PAIPL) is a community of congregations, faith-based organizations, and individuals of faith responding to climate change as an ethical and moral issue, through advocacy, education, energy conservation, energy efficiency, stewardship, and the use and promotion of clean, renewable energy. During the month of May, PAIPL is hosting a fundraiser to support its climate action work. Bikers and hikers log their miles and recruit donors. The Climate Action Team (CAT) of St. Martin-in-the-Fields is forming a superteam of bikers and hikers of all ages, abilities, and species (pets welcome!). We are also seeking donors to support our teammates. St. Martin has challenged the parishes of St. Paul’s in Chestnut Hill and St. Peter’s of Glenside (who infamously stole Rev. Barb Ballenger) to see which parish can log the most miles and raise the most donations on behalf of PAIPL. Join the team or make a donation at St. Martin’s teampage https://p2p-usa.keela.co/2023-bikehike.

We will be kicking off the month-long event (yes, you have a whole month to do your miles!) by gathering at 2:00 on Sunday, April 30 at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Forbidden Drive. If you have any questions about CAT, PAIPL, or the Bike and Hike event, please contact Eric Borgstrom (eborgstrom@hotmail.com) or Scott Robinson (rev.scott.robinson@gmail.com)
