Important Details For THIS Sunday & The Turkey Drive

Please note the following important details and updates for the Stewardship In-Gathering Celebration, Sunday November 19 and the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive!

This Sunday is a combined 10am Service. Formation (Godly Play & SPY) will not take place this Sunday.

Growing our Generosity

ALL ARE INVITED to the NOV 19th IN-GATHERING CELEBRATION and SUMPTUOUS BRUNCH!  Make plans now to join together with everyone in the parish for this very special occasion in our church life. There will be one service at 10 am followed by brunch and thank-you gifts in the Parish Hall. During the service, we will ALL take part, adults and children alike, in a joyous PROCESSION for GENEROSITY to give thanks to God for our many blessings and to present our tokens of promised gifts for 2024.

When you arrive at the church on the 19th you will be given this token card to present during the Procession for Generosity. The back side of the card will look like this:

It is not a pledge card, but is simply an opportunity for you to share what you especially love and appreciate about St. Paul’s.  Be thinking about what your answer will be!

As we process, we will each place our card in a basket at the front of the church. Following the Procession, Fr. Eric will bless the cards along with those promised pledges that have already been received for 2024.

If you haven’t already done so, please MAKE YOUR PLEDGE FOR 2024 by going to www.stpaulschestnuthill.org/GIVING and clicking on Pledge for 2024. Fill in and submit your electronic pledge form. If you prefer, use a printed pledge card and mail it to St. Paul’s at 22 E. Chestnut Hill Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118 or place it in the offering plate in person on Sunday. Pledge cards have been mailed to all on our mailing list. If you did not receive one, please call St. Paul’s at 215-242-2055 to request one. They may also be found in the narthex at St. Paul’s.

JOIN with those who have already pledged for 2024! Click HERE to view names.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday! Click HERE to view the fabulous Brunch menu!

It’s not too late to give to the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive!

A message from Lisa & Mike Budd:

My beloved parents, Jake and Betsy Roak led the inaugural St. Paul’s Thanksgiving Food Drive in November 2019 and the congregation responded with great enthusiasm. Honoring their commitment to help those in need, we are doing it again!

Last year because of your generous response, we delivered 100 Turkeys, bags of fixings and sides to the Food Pantry at St Lukes’s Germantown and Face to Face in Germantown.

Food will be delivered to St. Luke’s food cupboard and Face to Face in Germantown. Face to Face serves over 20,000 meals a year to hungry guests and a hundred families rely on the St. Luke’s food cupboard every week.

We invite you to help again this year:

  • You can create a meal for a family, consisting from the specified shopping list below.
  • Or, you can donate $50 to St. Paul’s- Thanksgiving Food and we will assemble the meal bags and deliver with the others. (For online donations, select “Thanksgiving Food” or mail check payable to St. Paul’s Church, memo: Thanksgiving Food Drive. St. Paul’s Church, 22 East Chestnut Hill Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118)

If you plan to participate either way, please let us know by ASAP by signing up here and indicating if you prefer to create or fund the meal bags. This will allow us to plan distribution for the greatest impact.

Thanksgiving Food Shopping List – A meal includes Bag 1 + Bag 2
