Transition Goals

October 4, 2020

At their retreat on September 19, the vestry and interim rector concluded their mutual ministry review and identified the focus of their work for the remainder of the transition period. The overarching goal of the next six to nine months is a seamless transition and the installation of our new rector.

Understanding the need to “leave something for the next rector to do” the vestry utilized the building blocks of the parish mission statement, our core values, the mutual ministry review, the parishwide survey and subsequent community conversations to identify the principal tasks of the interim period and to plan for carrying them out. Details about our transition goals as well as an update on the search process were shared in a Zoom presentation followed by Q & A between the 9 am and 11 am services this past Sunday. For those who missed it, you can watch the presentation at the video link below. Slides from Sunday’s presentation are linked in the description of the video.
