The Ann Stookey Fund

A committed member of the St. Paul’s choir, Ann Stookey (1952-2012) held St. Paul’s Aeolian-Skinner Organ in high regard, and the instrument played a major role in her musical experience at St. Paul’s. Upon her death, Ann’s family and friends set up a fund in her memory in order to secure the future condition of the instrument, enabling others to enjoy the instrument as much as she did. The Ann Stookey Music Fund for Music at St. Paul’s supports the ongoing maintenance of the instrument as well as providing funds for projects that further the enjoyment and role of the instrument at St. Paul’s and in the wider Philadelphia community.

Thanks to the response of many generous individuals, we successfully met the challenge presented by founding donor Joe Waz in establishing the Ann Stookey Fund for Music at St. Paul’s. Leadership gifts through the Adopt a Stop Campaign are acknowledged on a plaque mounted near the organ console. The Fund will grow and be sustained through future gifts and careful management by the Music Guild and Vestry of St. Paul’s.

The Ann Stookey Fund for Music at St. Paul’s remains open for gifts of any size, which will be most gratefully received. Please contact the Director of Music for information.
