Meditations on Christ’s Passion

Detail from I Will Magnify You by Diana Maye Whitener

Palm Sunday, March 24 at 5:00pm

A service of preparation for Holy Week. Join us for a journey of prayer, scripture, meditations, anthems, and congregational hymns drawing us from the agony of Gethsemane and the Crucifixion to the very threshold of Easter joy. Paintings by Diana Whitener directly inspired by the choral works (below) will be on display on the labyrinth at St. Paul’s throughout Holy Week.

‘Passing from one celebration to another,
from palms and branches let us now make haste, O faithful,
to the solemn and saving celebration of Christ’s Passion.
Let us see Him undergo voluntary suffering for our sake,
and let us sing to Him with thankfulness a fitting hymn:
Fountain of tender mercy and haven of salvation: O Lord, glory to You!”
