Outreach teams up on a Diocese project
On Sunday morning, September 24 an enthusiastic group of St. Paul’s Youth (SPY) participated in a mini workshop packaging up 50 Kits of First Aid supplies (items purchased through funding by Outreach). The filled bags were donated to and gratefully received by Face to Face in Germantown.
This project was spearheaded by parishioner Bob Smith who is a postulant for the Diaconate of the Diocese of Pennsylvania.
Thank you to all who participated in this project helping our near neighbors in Germantown.
Face to Face offers a Dining Room, a nurse managed Health Center, a Legal Center, a Social Services Center and, along with Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, early child education (3 and 4 year olds), children’s Summer Camps and After School programs. It also has a Washateria where people can take a hot shower and receive a new set of clothes. Face to Face serves 2,500 annually and has been a stable presence in Germantown for 35 years.
