St. Paul’s Parish Care Calls Team Recruitment
Vision:
One of the things that makes a church feel like a family is knowing that someone notices when you’re hurting, celebrates with you when life is going well, and remembers your name.
That’s the vision behind the Parish Care Calls Team.
Twice each year—around Advent and again during the Easter season—we’ll reach out to parishioners with a simple phone call. The purpose is to ask how they’re doing, see if they have any prayer requests or pastoral needs, and let them know they’re an important part of St. Paul’s.
Sometimes people are dealing with illness, caring for a loved one, grieving a loss, or simply feeling isolated. Other times they may not know about ministries or opportunities that could help them become more connected.
Ask:
The calls are friendly conversations—not sales calls, surveys, or fundraising. Volunteers receive a short call guide, training, and support. You won’t be expected to solve problems or answer difficult questions. Your role is to listen, care, and, when appropriate, connect people with clergy or other parish ministries.
The commitment is very manageable—about a dozen calls, twice each year, made at your convenience.
I thought you might appreciate this ministry because it allows us to live out Christ’s command to love one another in a very practical and personal way.
