OMC Fire Recovery Effort

On March 21, 2023, our neighbors at Our Mother of Consolation (OMC), suffered a tremendous loss.  Their school was destroyed by fire.  We will continue to help OMC however we can.  Please continue to pray for OMC as they strive to recover from this disaster.  Please take a moment to read an update from OMC and how you can donate.

“Dear OMC families,
When a fire happened at OMC on March 21st, we were in the midst of celebrating our 160th Anniversary. We were fundraising towards a goal of $160,000 to honor our past, secure our future, and renew our school. A devastating fire has created a whole new set of needs.
We remain committed to celebrating our community and to building a space for our children to learn and grow together. Our community currently has overwhelming needs, for books, space, technology, therapeutic supports, and a plan for re-opening.
Your donation will help us meet immediate goals of continuity in learning and socialization for our children, and long-term needs of securing space for OMC to thrive in the future.
Donate to our Fire Recovery Effort today to help us remain OMCstrong.
Donors can also give via check or cash mailed to 7 E. Chestnut Hill Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118 to the attention of Shane Sprandio. Please include a note indicating that your gift is for the Fire Recovery Effort.
As we begin to rebuild, we are thankful to so many. We are thankful to the firefighters who ensured further tragedy did not occur and our neighbors who welcomed us into their homes. Most of all we are deeply thankful to our teachers, whose steadfast care and attention saved our students.
We remain committed to growing stronger together and providing our students an unmatched Catholic education.”
