Adult Education Forum this Sunday at 10:00am: Indaba Lectionary Study with Fr. Eric
Join us in the Dixon House Library starting at 10AM. Each Sunday in Advent leading up to Christmas, Fr. Eric will lead a special Indaba lectionary study using a form of group lectio divina (a tradition of reading the scriptures prayerfully to hear what the Spirit is saying to us, individually and corporately). Indaba is an African Zulu Cultural process of mutual listening and understanding. This method of Bible Study was introduced by the African Delegation to the 2008 Lambeth Conference. Following an opening prayer, one person in a group reads a passage of scripture and then invites another person to identify a word or phrase that captures their attention. That person then invites another to follow suit until all have had an opportunity to share or pass. This will be a meaningful way to engage with the readings of Advent and immerse yourself in the season.
