The Blessing of the Animals
Last Sunday at the 9 a.m. service, a gathering of pets and their families took place around the labyrinth as we observed the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The Reverend Eric Hungerford and The Reverend Callie Swanlund extended their special blessings to creatures of all sizes, from ducks to dogs. It was a joyous occasion filled with music from our talented choristers and some “quacks and barks” from our furry friends.
