Godly Play @ Standing Rock Reservation, North Dakota

This past summer during our Youth Pilgrimage to Standing Rock, North Dakota, we worshipped at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Fort Yates on the Sunday following our arrival. After worship, I was talking to Rev. Brandon Mauai who is a deacon at the Church. In our conversation, he shared with me that they were planning on starting Godly Play at St. Luke’s but they were not sure about where and how they will train Storytellers and DoorPersons. I told him that Godly Play is very big at St. Pual’s, and I will talk to Cliff about helping them travel to St. Paul’s for training. When I arrived, I spoke to Cliff, who was very excited about St. Paul’s sharing this ministry with St. Luke’s, and expressed interest in helping Brandon and his wife-Angela, travel to St. Paul’s on three different weekends for our Godly Play C.O.R.E. Training on September 30, October 14 and October 28. If you are interested in helping with our mission to share Godly Play with St. Luke’s, please contact
