Advent Service with Carols

Sung by the Choristers and Adult Choir. Director of Music: Zach Fritsch-Hemenway Guest Organist: Monica Czausz Our guests at this service will be the community of St. James School, located in the Allegheny West neighborhood of Philadelphia. St. James School is a faith-based middle school in the Episcopal tradition, committed to educating traditionally underresourced students in a nurturing environment. The service is followed by a ticketed reception organized by St. James School as a fundraiser. “A Victorian Christmas” includes cocktails, dinner, auctions and entertainment. A candlelight service of Nine Lessons and Carols sung by the Choristers and Adult Choir. Consisting of readings that recount the Christmas story, choral anthems, and favorite carols sung by the congregation, this service is one of Saint Paul's most popular offerings of the year and has become a Chestnut Hill tradition.
